NATIONAL AWARD-WINNING BARN CONVERSION BUILDERS IN WORCESTERSHIRE
Preece & Sons are proud to be recognised as both Midlands and National Winners at the 2025 Federation of Master Builders Awards, for our full barn conversion and renovation at Bishops Hall, Worcestershire.
The FMB Master Builder Awards are the highest accolade in the UK construction industry, celebrating the very best craftsmanship, project delivery, and client care. Our winning project transformed a neglected agricultural barn into a modern, energy-efficient home - while retaining its heritage character and original timber structure.
“This barn conversion is a masterclass in combining old and new. Preece + Sons have delivered a home that retains rustic charm while embracing cutting-edge efficiency and design.”
— Brian Berry, CEO, Federation of Master Builders.

THE WINNING PROJECT:
BEFORE + AFTER from derelict shell to award-winning home
What we started with:
A leaking, uninsulated agricultural barn with failing joinery, unstable oak posts, no services, and a layout unsuitable for modern living.
What we delivered:
A warm, airtight, beautifully finished three-bedroom home with a dramatic open-plan kitchen, bespoke feature staircase, and seamless blend of old timber and new materials.
“The barn conversion project really stood out for its quality and heritage value, and none of it would have been possible without our amazing team.”
